Hello, VIPs :) I’m going to be introducing to you guys the official YGE announcement for the 4th term of V.I.P that was posted on the 6th. As most of you may know, the Official Big Bang V.I.P fanclub has not yet been open to international fans. The 3rd term of V.I.P (aka V.I.P3) has just ended on January 6th, 2012 (KST) and the new 4th term registration will begin on the 10th. The first round registration announcement was posted up on www.ygbigbang.com on the 6th, so I’m posting that up for you guys. I know most of you are thinking, “then why the hell are you translating it and posting it up when we can’t even register?” Well, I want you guys to get the gist of the registration process and also take a look at all the benefits YGE is giving official VIP members. I feel like international fans deserve the same amount of respect and privilege the Korean VIPs do. Second, a lot of people have been asking me how to register for the official fanclub since I’m a 2nd term VIP, but I honestly don’t know too much since my sister was the one who registered me. Instead of me explaining it with jumbled up information, here is the actual notice posted by YGE.

At the end of the translations, I’ll be providing you guys with various ways to contact YGE about this issue. I’m not going to guarantee that it will work, but it’s worth a shot. You guys really do deserve to be part of everything.

[INFO] Information regarding the 1st round of recruitment for the Official Big Bang Fanclub V.I.P4

Hello, this is the YG FAMILY FANCLUB Management.

BIG BANG’s official fanclub, V.I.P, is recruiting the 4th group to the family!!

With V.I.P 4, we will try even harder to make the supportive bond and encouragement between BIG BANG & V.I.P stronger and also get their hearts through to each other more easily.

For everyone who’s been waiting for so long, we will be informing you with brief and simple outlines that pertain to the recruitment of becoming a V.I.P and also a few important matters that require your attention during the process of registration and recruitment. Please take a look through the information provided beforehand and make sure of everything so that there will be no disadvantage for you and your registration.

For those who are under the age of 14 years, please download the Parent Consent form provided and attach it with any other documents you feel might be needed for the process.

◆ BIG BANG OFFICIAL FANCLUB V.I.P 4 Recruitment Outline ◆

▶ Recruitment Period

(Tue.) January 10, 2012 ~ (Tue.) January 24, 2012 until midnight

* Persons under the age of 14 years may only complete the registration process with the permission of their parents or guardian. Therefore, it is required to download the concent form from the second notice that will be posted up soon.

▶ Recruitment Qualifications

Any Korean and/or persons currently residing overseas that love and support Big Bang, have a Social Security Number, and can provide an address where official goodies and YGE cards, etc. can be sent.

▶ Period of Activity (for VIP4)

One whole year from the first starting date: (Wed.) January 25, 2012 (The ending date is subject to change at any given moment according to the artist’s schedule.)

▶ Registration/Recruitment Fee

25,000 WON

▶ Registration/Recruitment Process (2012/01/10)

Aside from the shortened preview registration process shown below, the more detailed process will be revealed through the 2nd round information that will be posted up on the 10th.

First, access VIP ZONE » Complete Registration Form » (14 years and under must fill out the concent form) » Make Registration Fee payment » Registration complete

※ Persons under 14 years of age must follow a separate code of registration along with the original form, with the consent of a parent or guardian.

▶ Benefits of being a member

1) Online Services

- have access to the entire fanclub homepage (information regarding anything about the fanclub, first look at new official photos, messaging with other fanclub members, etc.)
- Big Bang mail newsletters, SMS service exchangable
- Official fanclub member event participation
- Fanclub’s online bulletin access (subject to change according to the artist’s schedule)

2) Offline Services

- can attend and participate in the official fanclub’s events (ex: following the artist’s schedule, etc. Subject to change according to artist’s schedules)
- Official fanclub member event participation
- granted first priority to enter as the audience for the artist’s music show performances

3) Special Services

- first dibs and information access to concert tickets
- receive a membership card with the Big Bang & VIP logo engraved on it (issued to all members)
- Fanclub’s official good (VIP BOX) presented to members

※ What is a VIP BOX?

The VIP BOX is a SPECIAL BOX that contains special items that only VIP4 members will be able to posess! It will contain the VIP membership card, VIP SCHEDULUER, VIP MULTIPAPER, etc. It is a box that the Big Bang members have personally thought up and also includes a special hand-written something inside! The VIP BOX filled with abundance can soon be seen through the notice that will be posted after the process!

4) Album Verification Event

- members will be able to participate in various events using their FAMILY CARD that will be included in every Big Bang album purchased after the VIP4 term begins. (Subject to change according to the artist’ schedule)

▶ Important info & matters following the Registration process

1) Fans will only be registered after every step is completed in the process.

2) You MUST register as yourself. If under any circumstance you choose to register with another person’s identity and information, you will not be able to participate in any of the events and activities with the artists, not will you receive any of the benefits offered.

3) For persons 14 years and over, the registration fee must be paid before the 24th of January, then the process will be marked complete.

4) For persons 14 years and under, the registration process will only be made complete with the concent of a parent of guardian. Under no other circumstances will a person under 14 years of age be able to register as an official member. Please take note of this seriously.

5) If it is sought that the fanclub membership card and/or official fanclub goodies are being marketed/sold for profit, it will be punishable by law and you will also be put under great restrictions from using and participating in any of the VIP4 & YG FAMILY fanclubs.

6) For VIP ZONE renewals and goodies, the time it takes for it to be taken care of will be approximately ~50 days, so please take note of this information.

7) After your registration and membership has been approved and completed, you will not be able to get a refund or withdraw.

* Before sending an e-mail regarding the registration, you MUST read through the information above. If we receive a question where the answer has already been covered in the above notice, we will not be responding.

Hope the information above could have answered some of your questions. Aside from that, here are a few things you can do to change this:

• e-mail the fanclub management at the  address given above: don’t worry about how you title the message, but it might be best to just follow the instructions they gave for e-mailing inquiries. In the message, don’t worry about speaking in English or Korean. They have plenty of English speakers in their staff. They’ll get the gist. Just ask them about overseas registration. Even if they don’t respond, it’s because they have read it and they either don’t know how to answer or they just don’t want to. Doesn’t matter as long as they see it. If you feel that using Korean might take you to the safer route, at the end or beginning of your email, include this phrase: VIP4기 해외 또한 외국인 가입 요청합니다. (I am requesting for VIP4 Overseas and Foreigner registration.)
• sign BOTH of these petitions: jwalkervip provided a link to an English petition (goal: 5000 signatures) and I have provided an English & Korean petition (goal: 10,000) just to make sure they’ll understand fully of what we’re demanding. The more signatures, the bigger impact it’ll make on YGE. Deadline (currently Jan. 31) for the English & Korean petition will change depending on the status of where the goal is at. Also, the goal number may increase.

When the petition I’ve created reaches the number of signature goals, I will e-mail it to YGE. If this is what you really want, please don’t hesitate to take the initiative to stand up for yourself! YGE needs to know of Big Bang’s international fans. International fans have done so much for them… you need the credit! Don’t hold back! If YGE was able to open up 2NE1 Blackjack to international fans, then it’s possible that V.I.P can be a global fandom as well.

Even if this doesn’t work out by the 24th of January when the V.I.P 4th term registration ends, it is broadening our spectrum of possibility of having overseas registration being offered to international fans.

Once the 4nd round registration notice comes up, I will inform you guys with where this is going. By then, we will know the actual registration process and will be able to contact YGE with better information and compromise.
